Can U Replace C5 Ash Tray w/something else?

I have sports seats. Do I need new seats if I wanted heated seats ??? Or is it an add on to the existing seats ?

I took the door off the ash try, took a piece of 1/8" thick lexan cut to fit and drilled holes for switches, then used epoxy to glue it to the ash tray. This way the plate and ash tray is removable and I didn't have to drill any holes to screw anything in place. Then I painted the whole thing flat black. It looks great and you can close the door and everything is hidden.
