You mean a sequential transmission and the cost is around $25K.
mastershift has a shift kit to convert your transmission to paddle shift sequential starting at $2000...$25000 I don't think so!!!! Just buy a new car...lolthnx for the input.....

That's not a sequential shifter/ tranny.
Not that it's not a bad option but it would take a lot of work to install on a C5 because of the sterring wheel & current air bag.
If they ever get the thread w/ custom steering wheel adapter off the ground, this may be a feasible project.
And you still have to step on and hold the clutch pedal down so the actual shift occurs (the only thing this does is substitute an electrically controlled movement of the shift mechanism for your hand moving the lever) ......
Is there a controller for A4's? Something to shift that rather than the regular shifter? It's not very precise and under track use you'd be almost guaranteed to miss one.

What's the point .... other than bling ... maybe if you're a one armed midget it might be useful ......
but....
...It is also possible to “stack” multiple shifts by pressing the paddle or button several times before pressing the clutch pedal. The Manual Shifter will then move straight to the requested target gear position
So on a down shift..you could tap the paddles 2x..then press teh clutch...and go down two gears...intresting..if not practile
I'm glad I found this thread before I seriously looked into the MasterShift product. I was already looking at converting my M6 to an RPM 4L60E & thought this might be a less expensive alternative since I've already had my T-56 beefed up by T-56 Rebuilds. Been to their website & not quite sure of the advantages since U still need to depress the clutch pedal ( unless the shift throw solenoid works almost instantaneously ) but I GUESS U can't miss a shift w/this? Decisions, decisions!!

so...has anyone used this mastershift? Is there a product review im missing? I agree, why have one?, But i have to say it would be neat to have on a 6SPD depending on the actual "shift movment"
If the box, little motors, actuaters, slave mouse, or what ever you want to call could out shift the driver i can see the plus.
So how quick does one shift?
If its controled by a computer would or does it miss shifts?
