Has anyone seen or heard if it's possible to replace the older Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors on 97-99 Corvettes with the newer style TPMS? I've been told their life expectancy is around 8-10 years, so I'm expecting all of mine to start dying soon, with so many vehicles now using the newer style the cost to replace them is 1/3 of what the older style cost.
Just make sure you buy new sensors for the year model your Vett is. There were different sensors for the early C5's vs the later C5's. But both are available as new. Check out the GM Performance vendor here on the forum, he has the best price I have seen
The RFA for the early Vettes works at a different frequency to the newer sensor fit. They're not compatible. Don't forget it controls the TPS and the door locks
