Got a friend who has always told me when I was ready to sell my 99 Vert he wanted it. We discussed my price and he's agreeable if I want to sell...Always thought about selling it before the mileage hit 50K. Anyway I found a 2004 Lemans Blue Commerative Edition Z06 with 5,300 miles. It's like new condition. Owner wants $39K. Don't know if that's firm or not. Now I know I can probably get a 2005 C6 for high $30K's, maybe even a low option 2006, but this Z06 is really nice.....What's the forum think?

As an example, a friend of mine picked up a 2004 CE Z06 with 3800 miles on it last March for $33,600. The car was located locally on Long Island, NY less than 10 miles from my house.
If you shop around and check out the C6 for sale section of this Forum you will see '05 and '06 Coupes priced in the low to mid $30K's depending on options and mileage.

What the seller wants is rarely what the seller gets. If YOU want the car, do your homework. Get with www.nadaguides.com to see what the car is worth in your area. Do an internet search and find similar cars. Present all you find to the seller with a cordial request for him to look over the materials. This will plant the seed that he's over-priced his offering. In these times of tight money, high gas prices, and few buyers with $ in their pocksts, you might get the car of your dreams -- if this is it. Good luck and best wishes!

Unless you're deperate to go C6 I'd always take the last of a previous model over the first year of a new model. The 04 C5 was probably the best of the batch. Not sure how many kinks the early C6s suffered.

I'd go "Z" ... I love my Coupe but that car is really nice. I'm sorta kinda looking around for a low mileage Z as well. Rogers has 2 '04 Commer's in stock .. very low mileage as well. I'll keep my '03 as it's modded to my taste & has 7K on it, just add the Z !
