hey all, i am new, and had a question. i have done cam/heads/intake/exhaust w. long tubes on another car, not vette, and afterwards had a hard time passing emissions and check engine lights come on because of relocated o2 sensors and bbecause they could not heat up as much as stock headers.
anything to be worried about re emissions and CE lights when going LT headers on a vette ?

The key to passing emissions is in the tune . You can do headers/cam/heads & a cold and still pass . When you do the C5 headers you move the rear o2s to the front as they have a better heat rating.

At my shop (Auto Lab), I charged $560.00 (8 hours labour) to install Lg Pro long tube headers in a 2003 ZO6. This included hole sawing the drive line cover plate to route the O2 sensor harnesses over top.
Also installed a Blackwing airfilter & 160*F stat. Then I tuned the PCM with Hp Tuners and a wideband O2. Also had to set the rear O2 codes to no error reported, and set codes P0133, P0134, P0153, P0154, P1133 and P1153 to no error reported.

Was that a street tune or dyno tune? EIther way wow at the price!!! I think just for a tune runs $350-$400 around here so for another $160 so I could get long tubes installed also?

The $560.00 was for just for the header install, the tune was $600.00. I do the WOT tuning in 3rd gear on a secluded off ramp.

Thanks for ther plug Rob .
Gezzzz Rob for what you paid, I could have fly out and do the install. I put those puppies in with a tunnel plate and shielding, new wires with cool sox and plugs ,160 stat for $500.00 and it takes me by myself 6.5 hours .I've done over 25 sets of the streets ,and a dozen of the Pro's in the last 4 months alone.
Manny you need to open shop here, start a chain I have to wait to get a tune, I know the car will run better with a tune but does it increase the HP at all? There goes another 600 bucks
