Well here we go, I had a mechanic from a dealership install my LG Headers and it took him 10 hrs to install them hmmmmm he said he has done these before but any way $750.00 dollars later they are in (Wife not happy) but let me tell you they sound and the power I have BB Bullet exhaust so it is loud but in a wonderful kind of way anyway I will post some pics man I love this car :o
that mechanic took you for a ride. I put lg pro lt headers on my 02 z06 in my driveway in about 5 hours time taking numerous breaks, and it was my first time ever doing headers on a c5. Did you agree to that price for labor upfront or was it by the hour for however long it took? If it was the latter you can bet that mechanic was laughing all the way to the bank and your wife is right to be unhappy, I'd be pissed. Congrats on the headers though. They are awesome pieces. I need to get a set for my frc now.
Wait you paid $750 dollars for just the install? How much where the headers? I can't justify spending that much when you consider the horsepower per dollar ratio that's just insane.
That's the thing first of all he quoted me 80/hr and it should take him no longer than 4hrs, the first day I waited around then he says it won't be ready til tomorrow at noon I even told him that he better not charge me extra labour costs. On Monday I am going to call the service manager and see if I can get some of my money back.

if they quoted you at 4 hours, they should stick to it.. tell them to pay up
I agree. The corvette tax is ridiculous, but make people stick to their prices if you can do it. I was quoted 800 for the install of my LT's, intake, cam, oil pump, timing chain, and springs. I know a lot of these parts have to come out to do the cam anyway, but that would **** me off to no end. In the end though..... why did you tell the wife? I am trying to figure out a way to explain the car "missing" for 2 days next week...

If you have this in writing talk to the manager for sure, Unless he called you and said it will take longer and you said ok.
You guys are great, at first I thought whatever buy now I am Pissed (can I say that) lol they did quote me 400 and even when I talked to him on Friday he never said it would be more. I will call them on Monday first thing, I will keep you informed. Oh ya and the wife she loves the Vette as much as me so the mods are all good. But I know it will cost me in the long run all good.
Shoot, I'll give you a couple cases and take you to a topless bar if you want to come up to Charles Town, WV and put mine on! I have a garage but no lift. It's only an hour away. Or I could come down there...
Chip, can I hold you to that?!! I can get you two cases! I am going to put LG's on my car soon. I ran over a speed bump at 35-40 and dented my headers. Someone is lucky to know you!!! Dale
