Default Are the Headlights Adjustable?

I'm positive that is a newb question, but I have searched my owner's manual and didn't find out how to adjust them. So I don't even know if they are. I added some brighter bulbs in an attempt to get some better lighting for my roadtrip and the bulbs were brighter, however the vision range did not increase . Help guys .

Here you go Alex:

Aiming Stock Headlights

Preparation

Chose a white wall to project the lights onto
Mark a vertical centreline on the screen in line with the center of the car (black tape?)
(look over the roof of the car to get the line)

Measure the height from the floor to the center of the headlight capsule
Mark a horizontal aiming line on the screen

Measure the distance between the centreline of the right headlight module and the center of the left headlight module.
Position the vertical tapes this distance to the right and left of the screen centreline

Lubricate the adjustment screws before adjusting

Adjustments

Raise the hood
Raise the headlights
Remove the headlamp adjustment screw plug
Turn on the low beam headlights and block the light from projecting onto the screen from the passenger headlight

Check the horizontal aim

Adjust the horizontal aim adjusting screw to align the left edge of the high intensity zone with the headlight vertical centreline
The left edge of the beam should lie within 4” to the left and 4” to the right
of the vertical centreline.

Check the vertical aim

Adjust the vertical aim adjusting screw to align the top edge of the high intensity zone with the headlight horizontal centreline
The left edge of the beam should lie within 2” above and 2.5” below the lamp horizontal centreline.

Reinstall the headlamp adjustment screw plug

Repeat for the other headlight

Turn off the lights and close the hood

This is the pattern you're looking for

Just a 1/4 turn. Its plastic so go gently.

You might want to lube the adjustment rod

Take a look at this great write up from Junkman for a problem to avoid

Will WD40 work okay, or do I need some other lubricant?

Dee Gee.......if I'm interpreting your write-up and drawings correctly the high intensity area of both low beams need to be in the lower right hand quadrent of the centerline and initial height line. Correct? Is this cast in stone or can I go higher and a bit to the left on the drivers side low beam?

Thats correct but they are adjustable to your requirement.

The higher and more left you go, the greater the risk of blinding an oncoming driver.

Unless you are living in one of the few countries that still drive on the wrong side of the road.

I'm going to try the driver low beam at the vertical center line and the passenger low beam in the center of the right half. I think I'll go up on the centerline in the vertical direction as well. Keep ya posted.

Quick update..........I set the both low beams right at the horizontal centerline, the drivers side low beam midway between the vertical centerline and the LH vertical and the passenger side low beam right at the RH vertical. With my Silver Star Ultras it's pretty darn good.

WARNING!!!

Prior to adjusting them make sure that you Lube the adjusters WELL. The metal rods used for adjustment will snap off in a heartbeat if the gearing is the slightest bit tight. I fooled with mine for two hours after bathing the stuck adjusters in PB Blaster. Just worked the rods a little at a time. Once they start to move, move them gently.

Ahh but if you check out my diagram Bill I did the translation

My advice for T85s would be exactly the opposite
