I have never ran into any crazy hippies like that but sometimes when I go by a Hybrid car I try to pass them quickly so I don't catch the "hippie"!!!

Oh and the guy that raced a Vette and beat it by 6 secound, here is proof he is just plain dumb...

0-60 mph in 10.5 sec!!!!

Default 29mpg

Just completed a 1100 mile trip from Iowa to Southern Alabama. We averaged 29mpg for the entire trip. At one place we stopped, a man and his son were walking through the parking lot as I was getting into the vette. In a rather snotty tone he said "And what kind of gas mileage does that thing get?" I answered "depends on how I drive it, however, 28-30 is pretty typical" He was dumbfounded, stuttered a bit, then just shook his head and went on his merry way ( to find a tree to hug I assume)

It's a shame the displacement of their mouths is bigger than that of their engines...

Here in The Villages in FL (Official motto: "Florida's Friendliest Hometown") (Unofficial motto "Where the women can't get pregnant and the men look like they are.") we are inundated with SLOOOOOOW driving PRIUS drivers. I drive I-75 to Ocala frequently and recently ran up on a “tree-huggin” Prius driver in the left lane doing 50 MPH. This, in itself, didn’t p***s me off so much as her bumper sticker; “My Prius will go 80 but I chose to go 50”.

OK, fine, do it in the right freeekin lane lady.

WHAT IS IT WITH THESE PEOPLE ANYWAY?????

I guess when you buy a “green” car it give you the right to p**s off every other driver on the road.

hilarious thread

I've said this for 25+ years and it's only hitting home now with these weirdo-tree-hugging-granola-people.

I only get that kind of static when I'm filling up the H2 Hummer. I just smile and reply "eat sh** and die" Hey Marines were never know for their tack.

Haven't had that happen to me but I'm sure these Prius owners think that the vettes mus get around 12 mpg. On a side note, I've often how the environment will be affected as a result of all the discarded batteries from hybrids and full up electric cars.

Me too, and I d handle it the same way. I ve got a honda that averages 60-70 per tank, not just a trip here or there but the tank. On short trips I ve gotten as much as 108 mpg. Great car. It was relatively inexpensive and has paid for itself, and let me buy another c2. We use it anytime we can, and it saves us around 3000$ a year in fuel only and is going up from there. Sure its a gay little car, but my man hood is between my legs not wrapped around me. Because of our hybred, it doesnt hurt much to fill both tanks on the 12 valve cummins, or the other cars simple because it lasts a while because of the hybred. Enviroment....argu all you want, I like the $$$ in my pocket based on mpg.

I'm also a member of a Hummer forum and you wanna' talk about a singled-out vehicle. Check out this website dedicated to Hummer-haters. I mean, really. What true, red-blooded American male would turn down a Hummer?

Here's my dd. I actually use a lot less gas commuting than most of my coworkers who drive economy cars because I live so close.

Its no wonder they act like they do.....have you read what a lot of the vette owners here are writing ? It's like bully central.....What is so great about using as much gas as you can? I love my vette too but.....rev the engine and ask if some hybrid wants to race? Wow...My opinion
