I came across this site and at the bottom of the page it has a "Did you know?" section regarding little known facts about the C5. It says you can pop the trunk and also pop the gas cap cover by pulling on metal lines hidden in the back of the car. It doesn't elaborate on it any further. Does anyone here know about this? http://www.tricitiescorvetteclub.com...ttetrivia.html
Yep. Fortunately, I've never had to use them. (knock on wood)
They are there. But, there is not one for the hood! If your cable breaks you are in for it. I had headers put on at Corvettes of Houston and they nixed one of the cables. Had to wait a week for a cable and it took them 3 hours to get the hood open to replace the cable. Ouch! But they were good about replacing it. I guess stuff happens to the best of us. And yes I've been back and bought more stuff ($1k) from them since. Smart on their part, to do the right thing.
