Often times a boat supply has these types of things in stainless steel.

Try purchasing a flush mounted tail light kit. I believe I got mine at pfyc.com, mine came with longer stainless steel screws. you don't have to install they plastic spacers if you don't want the flush mounted look, they are stainless steel though and not black.
