Default I need a screw...

seriously........

I need to replace the tail light screws with longer ones. Where can I find 1 1/2" T15 torx screws? All I can find at Lowes are wood screws and I think I'm looking for machine screws. I also checked Pep Boys with no luck and Home Depot with no luck.

Anyone???

Take yours with you and go to Ace, Menards, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. You can get #8 stainless Phillips head machine screws and stainless counter sunk collars for the whole car for less than $20.00. I replaced all of the black torx on my vert and am very pleased with them.

If yo want the OEM screws PM me and I will send you a few. However I noticed you are wanting something longer.

You may have to use a self tapping screw in a longer version if you have stripped out the mounting clips or utilize another means for the repair.

Ace Hardware has a much better selection of small hardware like screws and such than the big box stores. And, you can buy one or two - or however many you need rather than buy a package with too many or too few.

You know what they say - Ace is the Place!

I just replaced all my tailight screws a couple months ago from Lowe's because of the black-out lenses.I couldn't find any black ones so I just spray painted them flat-black.

I havent stripped them. I have a blackout kit and they BARELY reach. I read another thread that suggested putting a black hinged cap over the screws. But.. the screws just wont reach. I found some #8 screws and replaced all of them, put the caps on.. but one wont snap (of course, thats my luck) so I suppose I'm headed back to Lowes to get another package of caps and I think i'll look for the screws you suggested and see if the heads are smaller... big heads are good - but not for screws on tail lights apparently.
