Default Converting the 'water fall' into storage.

On my 02 vert I'm strapped for handy storage.

The center console holds sunglasses, garage door picker upper control. That's it. sigh.

The glove box ain't holdin' a LOT of stuff as we all know.

Surely there must be SOMEONE that's selling an aftermarket water fall replacement that opens to allow extra storage.

I sent an email to the usual suspects (Corvette parts sellers) and, as you might expect, they completely ignored it.

Anyone who works in plastic that could produce such a critter? I'd buy one.

Mid America sells some extra bags that are mounted in the passenger area.

I have never looked behind the waterfall, but is there even any significant space behind it?

I keep the box for my CB in there. There's a bracket that holds the latch assemble I don't think there's enough room in there to expect to glean much usable storage. My .02

I've taken mine off a few times

Theres not much space in there. It's full of the mounting box for the latch mechanism.

You can do the home link visor or flash to pass mod to get rid of that "garage door picker upper control" and the sunglasses can be clipped to the visor or stored under the seat or in a parcel tray sold by several vendors. HTH

Mister Peebody, thanks for the ideas.

There's always more than one way to skin a Corvette storage problem.

Haven't seen anything on a conversion kit for that. Would be a good idea as long as there is space behind the waterfall.

On the left side stalk: You push it forward and it locks to activate the high beams. If you pull it back instead, it is spring loaded and it briefly activates the high beams if the headlights are on or the fog lights if the headlights are not on. The back spring loaded motion is flash to pass, and some members have modded this to activate a garage door opener. More can be found by search for "flash to pass".
