Really any header is going to perform. Most headers, if not all, will be within 5 rwhp of each other under the same circumstances. American Racing are very well made, as are LG's, and Kooks. I personally went with ebay headers, the stock midpipe, and granatelli catback. Those mods with a vararam dynoed 331/339 in 90 degree temperatures. Just expect some custom fabbing if you decide to go with the TSP headers or ebay headers. If you can find used headers jump on them. TPIS headers are nice and usually go for around 500 bucks used. Interesting post. Virtually identical to one I made earlier this year. Most will recommend Headers, Tune, and if you have an A4, Gears.
My Vette is an A4 and had 2.73 gears. I changed out the carrier and went with 3.42's along with a tune. Spent a little more than $1,500, but oh my, what a difference.
