FactoryRaceCar i think you handle the situation rather well. I may have done the same also Granted with how my car looks now people aren't quite sure what to think of it lol
I put it in the car show at Cedar shore last saturday for the boat races. I'm friends with one of the sheriffs that was working there and he said there was some kids by it when he was looking at it and they said well it says corvette on the outside but the seats say Cobra So what is it a Cobra or a corvette it must be a Cobra since the seats say that one it. lol ugg.

Hate to say, but I'm willing to bet back in 01-04 there were C5 Z06 owners who probably treated the C4 owners that way, happens all the time. Back when the C5 was the current Vette, and I had a 2000 T/a most of the C5 owners I knew were complete A-holes thinking they were the coolest thing on wheels, as the torch passes, so do the big egos. Unless, heaven forbid, the C7 has to go back to a "lowly" 5.7 litre engine...that might keep the jerks in C6s satisfied so they can say, "meh mine is faster and my engine is larger!"
Also, I never even glance at the C6 drivers, unless they wave first, usually I ignore them. They hate that.
