For me it seems people out in the Burbs wave more than the peeps in Town. But overall I still see alot of waves.

That is the mess I started a couple weeks back. It is in regards to GM workers not waiving. Others blaming the economy and their jobs. Or executives.

I was trying to point out the same thing. And by the way, I love to wave when I am in my car b/c all my other worries are gone and I have a sh** eating grin on my face!

Another good time is the thumbs up from the little kids on the sidewalk. They really like the vette and are always hooting for me to rev it up.

We see very few Corvettes on the road but I'd say 90%+ wave and I like that. I have a Rubicon, too, and I'd say less than 50% wave but there are a lot more Jeeps than Vettes out here.

Twice in one day i got a little more than a wave. A lady in a gold C4 blew me a kiss and another in a white c4 vert pulled up next to me at a light and said, thats a sexy car. Ill take both of those as a form of a wave. Every once in a while ill catch someone just stare at me while i wave at em, get with the program people!!

I very rarely see a Vette out here, but the ones I do see wave.

I also have Jeep Wrangler and one had the top off and they actually stood up and waved, it was kinda cool.

Hi Sinister-one -

I agree - I have noticed a decided reduction in the number of people driving Corvettes that will return a wave, or even acknowledge that they have seen another Corvette.

I make the distinction between someone who drives a Corvette, and a Corvette-person.

Corvette people are still waving.

best regards -

Here on the west coast, there are lots of Corvettes. Sometimes I can wave and sometimes not due to traffic. If I can, I will wave. Most all wave as they can.

Saw a 58 maybe a 59 Vette with an older gentleman driving with the top down, waved at the guy and he looked at me like I'm some kind of tool. Would've thought that older people would know more about the history of the wave than anybody else. Met a lot of C6 drivers since they came out -none wave at all. C4 driver's on the other hand I've seen only do it 60% of the time -but that doesn't bother me -continue waving!!!

I have a jeep and the Vette and I get more waves from the Jeeps. Most are open though and they can see well. Most Vettes are buttoned up with the air on.
I still wave no matter if they wave back of not.
There is one cute blonde that I have seen more than once in a Vert C6 that waves blows here horn, jumops up and down and everything. Looks like a jack in the box. She really goes overboard.

I was at a stoplight and a guy pulled up in a C6 and looks over. I smile and throw a wave and he just looks away and had this "wtf are you doing it that car" look. I couldn't beleive it. I hope to catch him with his windows down one day so I can ask why he's being such a snob.

Was out cruising around Northern NJ & southern NY State last Saturday...passed 8 vettes of various vintage, and the only one who waved back was a C2 owner.... the C4, C5 & C6 drivers just blew by without a second look.....

As a 25 year old driver, I think you are right. Only about 40% or less of people wave back to me (I wave every time). I wave because I am not too caught up in the status the car has. I think the 45-55 year old guys who don't wave are pissed they don't have a Porsche and that some twerp like me has the same car.

Put another way, because it is because I am waving that they don't wave back like they might to another older man.

Just my $.02.

I'm a Lady and I ALWAYS wave! I guess I'm the exception!
