I was on my way in to work this morning and came up on a very nice looking Electron Blue C5 coupe and then a mile or so up the road came up on an Atomic Orange C6 and niehter of them waved as passed them up. I waved but these guys didn't even turn and look.
Oh well, maybe some Vette people still do the Vette wave and some don't.
As a long time Jeep Wrangler owner, I'm used to waving at other similar vehicles. even in the jeepin' world, some people don't get it.
now that I'm a vette owner, I'll keep wavin'!
I wouldn't sweat it... I've had the same thing happen here in IL.. it's hit or miss... sometimes I will see 5 or 6 vettes in the same day and they will all wave,,,, sometimes I'll see 2 and neither will wave.
I just keep waving no matter what. That's the best way to "save the wave"
I try to make sure i way to all the others out there i see, but sometimes they just slip by without me noticing them. I'm betting this is the same for most people as well. Also, some people are just not that friendly
I had a club member say to me the other day I ignored his wave when I was in Buckwheat,I told him I did wave back,I think it is hard to see in these cars and unless you stick your hand up in the windshield you won't be seen.
I notice that quite a few C5's I see are driven by women. They don't wave, or even look! Most of the guys I see, when I drive my Vette, wave, honk, or flash their fogs. I just wave at the cars anymore, if the people inside wave back, even better!
I figure there are those who drive Corvettes and are a member of the Corvette Community and those who just drive Corvettes. Not too hard to figure which group does the waving.
