I keep my vette in the garage and use three old bed sheets to keep the dust and crap off. They're a pain in the **** to put back on alone though. Would a car cover be easier and are they a one-person job to install?
A car cover is MUCH easier to install. Everyone has his own technique, but I simply roll mile on from the rear to the front. I've been using an all-season Wolf ($99.00 from Ecklers), but they also have a $40 one that is for indoor use only.
I've owned a Covercraft Dustop for about a year. It is an indoor cover and is very light weight. It takes about 5 minutes to put on. I roll it from each end of the car and put the front end on the top of the two rolls. It keeps the car clean.

I used a car cover on mine all the time when parked in the garage. Easy to put on, take off and was certainly a one person job. It kept the dust off very well too.
I'm a big MM fan (my MM wooden ramps are on his site) but I think I'll draw the line at the phantom descending bedsheet! It's a bit too McGyver for me.
One more car cover question ~ this one not Vette related; maybe indirectly. I have a one-car garage and when the Vette is home for the summer (it lives offsite for winter storage) my Acura daily-driver has to sit outside. It gets covered in birdcrap and dust which, for a car cleanfreak like me, goes over like a lead balloon.
How does an outdoor car cover work for a DD? Any tips?

Years ago I had a Beverly Hills Car Cover for my '84 Monte Carlo SS that worked great. I use to get ribbed alot because I'd put it on when I parked the car at work. My come back was, "I spent alot of money on that car, whats another $100 to keep it clean and out of the sun." Before long mine wasn't the only car covered.
I have the Wolf all-weather cover on my corvette which is a daily driver...in the summer. It couldn't be easier to put on (1 man job that takes 30 seconds) and does a great job keeping it dry and clean. Would easily recommend it in your case
