Instructions said to "pre-fit" by bending/shaping. At that point I figured screw this, but I really wanted it, so I gave it a shot. Total waste of time, since after following the directions, fitment was awful and I had to remove the adhesive etc.
Can anyone recommend a place where I can get one that is "made to fit" from personal experience.
I bought an "ID plate" from Carmotorsports several years ago (exactly what you're looking for except it's made of a carpeted material); they use to be a forum sponser but I don't know if they still are. They've since undergone new management FYI.
Make your own, fashion a template from card board to fit properly and then use plexiglass, paint the back side the color you want and put what you want on the front.
You may want to try www.mamotorworks.com part 612-060 I looked at the web site you sent and when they say "in place of the factory insulation pad ". that is a little scary as there is no factory installed pad in that area. I have the cloth one installed for 3 years now with heavy duty velcro with no problem. Good luck!
Is this any good. you could add a date or a logo to suit
Have you wondered how to smarten up that panel under the Hood? I could never understand why GM would leave it unfinished like that with that beautiful LS1 right there. There’s a really inexpensive fix that just finishes it off.
You need a stick on mirror kit from Walmart
Push a piece of paper into the indentation and press it into the edges to mark out the shape. Cut around the edge and use it as a template.
Place it on the shiny side of the mirror and mark out the shape with a sharpie pen. Make sure the mirror surface is on the correct side. Take a pair of tin snips or heavy duty scissors and cut around the marked line.
Stick it in place using either double sided tape that comes with the kit or with glue. Easy

I've been very pleased with their products as they've held up extremely well (been 3 years and everything still looks new ).

Bought one last year. Good fit and finish if you like the carpet fabric type material. A little pricey if you want extra lettering (I did) but worth it IMHO.
