Get a piece or lexan and bend it into a L so you can mount it to protect the amp.You can also paint or carpet the lexan.
Good luck and let us know what you decide.
Just got this Amp to out in my C5 vert, to keep it from getting bang on or scratch up, what do you guys think?
You have a very nice vette. Don't get cheap on the lil things. If you got some money to spend put some plexiglass around it. That looks like youi just threw something on there cause your in a hurry. But I guess if you never show your vette at car shows and no one sees the trunk but you then its fine!!!!
I think I like it. Very Functional and stylish...(There always seems to be one guy that likes it no matter what everyone says), plus I love grilled cheese sandwiches
I'll have cheese on my burger LOL. I have an amp in my trunk mounted on the floor off to the side with a sub in the middle and never had a problem. I don't think your gonna put a sling of lumber back there and anything you do would probably be soft like luggage or a body so scratching shouldn't be a problem. It's a corvette so I know I'm always careful when I put things back there. A little touch up paint every now and then looks way better than the amp jail you built.
Well, the grill does look kinda cheesy in white -- painting it flat black would soften the "look." A matching vinyl slip cover would hide and protect it better -- especially if it included a piece of masonite inside for added protection. If my car, I'd hide it in the rear cubby and forget about it. (Mine's only been used once.)
It looks cool if you're from W. Virginia.
It will keep the fireplace wood from hitting it.
What you hauling anyway? I'd rather take a chance of it getting scratched.
But my neck is a little red also......
Sorry man, I'm just being myself, sometimes a a$$.
I had one mounted in the same place for 10 years in the back of a 91. It never got scratch. Set it free.
