Being that it's a vert and no one can see it, I admire the protection factor, although in most cases you can bang the amp shell pretty hard without causing any damage. If it was a coupe I'd have to say cheezy...sorry:o

It does look bad, If it were me I would nix the idea and just be careful or better yet get a trunk organizer to keep things in its place. I never have stuff in my rear unless I need it and it is always secured.
My 2 cents.

Put it in the covered storage area and it will be safe and you wont see it at all. I have a amp under my seat in my van and it get beat up all the time seven years and it still works perfectly, so personaly I wouldnt have gone through all that trouble.
I would take off the screen and just put a 3 inch or so high plate along the bottom to hide the wires. The amp won't be harmed by things hitting against it. (Maybe if something packed hard against it to block airflow) It is made to be shown out and not in a box covered.

You are right about that, all those connectors below, I could see thing bush up on it from the bottom, keep the ideas coming, mean while I don't have to worry by computer bags etc., bumping around in the back there. Check back with you guys later, I'm glad everyone is having a good laugh on this...
Is this real? Or Photoshop?
Is it the picture or is it not centered? I would center it and hide the wires with a carpeted piece. Leave the rest exposed.
