Hey thanks dude! I moved to a Z about 2 1/2 years back, but still have the love for the wagons (and the coupes). Definitely miss the glass removable top...

I know that is the general consensus here on the Forum but I actually get compliments on my wheels when I am out with the car. I guess that I am in the minority here since I like the looks of the standard stock '97-'99 wheels. I have a set of 2004 GM Polished Thin Spokes that I purchased new for my car last year but I am in no rush to take off the stock '99 wheels. I replaced the WW's on my previous '98 Vert and "98 Coupe but decided not replace these yet. In fact I also have a spare set of mint take off WW's sitting around in boxes.
It seems to be a choice of either dressing up your wagon-wheels (paint inserts or decals) or changing out to other wheels completely.
The wagons have a certain appeal ....and they came in chrome!! Plus there are decals to enhance. The bottom line is that if you are rolling wagon wheels, there is still nothing to be ashamed of ......you are still part of the 'Vette" brotherhood/sisterhood......Drive it....Love it....Be proud....
I am amazed at how many have been replaced with heavier aftermarket "bling jewelry" with inferior build quality. Real Corvettes don't wear jewelry. If you have the insatiable need to make your Vet "pretty" (very subjective when it comes to wheels from what I have seen on this forum), at least go with one with equivalent build quality and no heavier. This is a sports car first and foremost.
