I have a 99 frc which did not come with the rear trunk lighting, or the engine compartment lighting. While taking the carpet out to install an insulation kit, i realized that the rear trunk is wired for lights - but no lights.
My question - if I purchase and install the lights, will they work. Obviously it is already wired, for the lights, but will the operate correctly - trunk opens will they come on?
I thought i would ask before I give this a shot. I suppose the hood is wired as well so same question would go for the engine compartment.
Check that the fuses are fitted and then put a multi meter on the connectors and check they're hot. Open the hood/trunk before you do the check.
The wiring for most of those circuits is orange. The monitored load fuse controls the ones you mentioned as well as others. I'd bet its already fitted. I assume the wiring is standard so my bet would be you just need the light units.
