Ultimate light upgrade thread...
Most of the exterior LEDs are hooked up to some circuitry I installed to make them strobes. they are combined with a 100W strobe kit. Its part of my car's security system. I got the idea from some other C5 owners who put strobes on their cars for security. As we all know alarms go off daily. no one pays any attention to them, so you have to one-up everyone else to get noticed. I want to make sure that if my car's alarm goes off, anyone within eye shot will not be able to avoid checking out what's happening. so here is my solution to the problem. Just for the record, they are for safety and security, these lights are never used on the roads.
give it a try:

Ok here goes:
Interior lighting linked to custom sound-sensitive controller:
"LEO" Strobe Kit (for show only)
Custom projector headlights (sold a few months ago)

Custom Amp rack with Warp Drive:

Lighted Crossover network (rear speakers)

On to the good stuff:
SW dual projector headlights (55w 6000k HID)

Hella Micro DE foglights (55w 6000k HID)

The Original "Halo Mod"

Misc stuff:

mcgilles: what flash controller are you using for the rear LEDs? (triple flash)
But they've got great looking starships! Seriously, very
. I bet your neighbors loooove it when your alarm goes off at 3 am.
One look at this thread, terms "blackout" and "stealthy" surrendered!!
Thanks to all for showing me the light (literally).

Now, I think I'll find something that is a little dimmer to look at...like the sun!

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

One cool thing about this stuff is that it makes the car have a split personality.... Of course the down side is that at car shows no one sees all the hard work you've done!

give it a try:
far out! along with a buzz that will offer hour and hours of entertainment

It's an outdoor show by a corvette club. I plug in my computer, and my car and can run everything all day long.
btw: the pic is a comparison pic of my fog light relocation.
For those of you not following my current lighting mods: here's the to do list for this month:
- Vent cove lights linked to throttle position
- Super bright Halo tails (nearly 6x brighter halo rings and 9x brighter center section)
- Sequencing Halo center section (for mom's car)

Are there any choices for foglights between stock and HID?
First major upgrade will be the Halos, with the "Radioflyer" mod. Debating on whether to order the modded ones through Brian @ FIA performance and Jon (koldnrg) or just trying it myself.
For those of you who don't know, the "Radioflyer" mod is set where the "halo" only portion of the light is on with the parking lights, the centers only come on with the brake/turn signal. Brian and Jon teamed up so you could buy the lights from Brian and Jon would perform the mod. I think Radioflyer is still doing the mod if you already have the lights.

Really like the idea of the cove lights to the throttle, but not many would get to see them up-close fully-lit!
Maybe hook them into your sound sensitive system instead?
Hey Radioflyer, got an idea for you while you're digging in there: Sequence the outer halo rings to blink for the turn signals like a sine wave: inner light - top half and outer - bottom half, then inner - bottom half and outer - top half! Think you can do it?!

Oh, about the sine wave, it can be done but why? :o I have a Halo sitting on the work table COMPLETELY dis-assembled to it's bare components: lens, reflector, bare circuitboards, resistors, diodes and whatever that big silver thing is no the back.
Has anyone replaced the stock tail light bulbs for LEDs?

Hmm....something to look in to. If anyone has an extra 3rd brake light laying around and wants to ship it to me, i'll gladly find a way to swap them.
