WFT??? You using Zaino??

Go back to pop-ups, yes. Love the look of them and always will. The result will be you're almost back to "stock"!!

This is an exception for me, but YOUR car looks great exactly the way it is, I wouldn't even paint the insides of them because it matches the rest of the car so well. I am a huge fan of the pop-ups, usually, it's what makes a Vette a Vette, but yours looks great, wouldn't change them.

Well, it's a coin toss. If you like the way the current setup performs and looks, you're done. If they were installed to emulate a C6, then consider going back to popups. (One of my C6 negatives is the front end design -- including the fixed lights -- looks like a kit car to me.) It's all a matter of personal taste and what YOU prefer. Toss the coin.

I've always thought that pop-ups are one of the things that really distinguishes a C5 from the ricer sports cars-----and now the C6 also. The car's lines are just so smooth and beautiful when the pop-ups are down. Just my 2 cents, but I agree with your friends.

I had the ACA's in the stock housings, but I like the look of the SW C5R lights much better.

You have to do what you think is best. The factory lights have all kind of gear and electrical issues, whereas the fixed lights do not.

Good luck which ever way you go.

I went from C5R's with 4300k/55w HID's in them and they put out more light than ANY HID setup that I've seen, but the light was scattered and it took some time to get them aimed properly without blinding peeps!

The projectors in the C5R's are actually made for halogen lights, so they aren't the most efficient, while the ACA lights are D1S bulbs in HID projectors. While they don't put out the volume of light that the HID C5R's did, the quality of the light is MUCH better. The ACA's fit Much better too!

The bottom line is Do what you want because you're the one who's got to be happy!

Good Luck!

FRC, man it looks nice the way it is. Spectre Werks are by far the best looking fixed headlights. But you got to do what you like. Personally, I like the idea mentioned earlier of painting the black housings to match your car.

Anybody want to school me on these ACA's? Not heard of them yet.

Well you know my opinion on all of this I had them for about 3 years too. The fit/finish is crap on them, but they look cool from 10 feet. I too added HIDs on them to try and make myself like them, but the projectors suck and aren't made for HIDs so they don't have any proper cutoff, plus the units bounce going down the road.

I've never had a single issue with my popups... I vote for the ACAs all the way. I'm considering them down the road and ditching my PIAAs... tired of them burning out!

And oldie but goodie
