I have searched the forum and haven't really found anything that is like my case...
I just got my 98 from an auction and the wipers dont work. When the Vett is started they will "twich" or "jump" a inch or so and not move. Is this a problem with the wiper switch or could it be something with the fuses or something like that?
The wiper motor could have been shorted from water. The wiper motor sits in a cavity right under the cowling. This cavity has "udders" where excess water drains. If these udders are clogged, the water pools up and basically submerges the motor. Then, when you try and start the wipers, it shorts out. I'm guessing this is the case. You'll need to remove the wiper arms, and the cowling(held on by plastic push rivets. You will see the motor in the corner. Check and see if it is in a pool of water.
Thanks for the reply... but I have got to be retarded. I usually try things out before asking for help, but I got lazy... basically what fixed it was when I took it the top plastic off, there was no water but the gears (and that bar that moves with the motors) seemed a bit rusted. So I manually moved the bar back and forth and wala! Its all good.
