Default neon wire

I did a timed exposure in those first 2 pictures. Its not as blinding as it looks.Just a nice glow.I dont know if it will interfere with the radio, didnt even start the car while doing it. I was just playing around and am way too busy building led kits of different sorts to play with it any more right now.Maybe a winter time project! I dont know much about the stuff but will probably have to learn. This stuff isnt for everyone,as I've heard...YOu can always ask for a "click" refund!

I don't understand why people care what other people do to their cars. I could see it if it was something rare that they only made a couple of them and he was going to do irreparable damage to it, but it's a C5. Don't get me wrong I love my car and it would take someone offering me a lot more than my car is worth to part with it but they made a ton of C5's, they will never be a classic or worth anything. Maybe in 30 or 40 year they will start to appreciate but not in my lifetime, they just made to many of them.

BTW doesn't that give off a very noticeable whine? Back when I was messing around with building custom computers I played with some of that stuff and it just made to much noise and that was powering it with a 9 volt battery. If you powered it with 12v I would think it would be worse. Also do it mess with your radio reception?

THe main reason is that vette owners usually hold up to a certain class with taste. now that vettes are more easily affordable we are seeing more and more "rice" infections going on. Trendy teenager crap being added to a corvette.

Hope that answers you that is why i care what others do to there cars.

IT is disrespecting what a corvette IS. to me

No, I still don't see how it affects you but you are entitled to your opinion and beliefs, there are owners in the Corvette community that feel "ANY" modification to a Corvette is wrong. There are owners that think any mod that doesn't make the car perform better is a useless mod and a waste of money. But, perhaps I misunderstand your position but to you certain mods are ok but if it's "trendy teenager crap" or a "rice" mod, its disrespectfull to you.

I've been a long time Corvette owner, I bought my first vette, a 66 vert, in 1969 at the age of 18. This is one of the only cars I've ever owned that I didn't customize because I couldn't afford to (Custom wheels, radio and sometimes performance and appearance mods). And I feel a little different towards a fellow Corvette owner than I do to a similar stranger that drives something else, sort of like they are my brothers and sisters.

I enjoy seeing all the various mods, even the ones I don't like, because they give me ideas sometimes for things to do to my car, but what they do to their own cars is not my business and it does not affect me one bit.

Dude simply put I dont like crap on corvettes i dont care whose corvette it is. IF i see a big wing on a corvette or spinners or glow wires or poorly or over done led mods etc etc it makes my stomach turn.

The corvette is class and then seeing owners that butcher them with tasteless mods is just sad to see simply put. Now stop trying to make some point about its not my car etc etc.

I am a car enthusiast, I enjoy admiring other cars, coming across corvettes with trendy teenage mods makes me sick.. that is all

Good Luck to you, with falling prices of the C5 I think you better stock up on Pepto Bismol.

Wow, you sure don't sound like a narcissistic elitist..

I'm pretty sure that he can make whatever point he wants, as this is a public forum, I mean c'mon..it wouldn't be much fun if you got to have the final say in every discussion around here...I just giggle to myself when I see responses like this:

Yep.

I dont like it either but if he wants to PIMP it out he can, it is his car.

This is one big reason why I took so long to buy a Corvette, it is owners like you who think this car is so damn high class and you have to be in an elite club to own and drive one.

You are the rotten apple of the Corvette forum, it only takes one to spoil the bunch.

I bet if it was up to you, you would have an Owner Approval list just to be able to purchase a Corvette. If the qualifications were met they could purchase a car, if they voided the agreement you would take their car away.

Damn I cant stand owners and people like you!

ok kiddo make your rants and assumptions but when i see a riced out nice car i think it looks stupid and i laugh at it and the owner that thinks it looks good.

Yes i think nice cars should remain nice looking cars and ricing out a corvette is a sin. Yes owning a corvette is being a part of an elite members club. Our secrete handshake is a wave.

lol

Well, I certainly didnt mean to get a war started here! Its like the TV, if you dont like whats on,Turn the damn channel! When I go to a night cruise,The other corvettes sit there and look nice to be sure.Where are all the people?? Usually looking at my corvette.I get 95% positive comments, even from other corvette owners.I've started a business doing some of this stuff to vettes and prowlers. So its more than just a playtime hobby. So if IBUID40 doesnt like it, I understand but why does he think it so important to bash my car??What mods do you have on your car IBUID40??Oh, I hate that kind of crap on corvettes.Or is it a stocker and you couldnt tell it from any other vette in the parking lot.
Let us all know when your over it, Mr Elite..

Dude i never "bashed" your car. Get over your sensitive feelings for me thinking it is tasteless on corvettes. NO reason to get your feelings hurt for me stating i don't like teenage trends on corvettes. Neon = low riders in the 80's to me, everyone stops and looks at a train wreck. Does not mean they like it lol
