I dunno, I feel kinda sorry for the middle east guy. I think he was just trying to be a part of something that he thought was good. He was also trying to be proud, I think, for his brothers ride. Perhaps just like you quys with the Vette. Apparently he is somewhat new to U.S.A., I would have cut him some slack and said "thats really cool, great car too, I had 2 of them",(which is true). Common make the kid feel good not ashamed. Just my feeble opinion on this mild story.

I fail to see how it's out of line for him to comment that his brother has a Camaro when you say you have a Corvette, it's a GM performance car. Maybe where he's from it's a big deal.
It's not like he said oh, well my brother has a Camaro that'll beat you. Get over yourself, you have a car that sells for about 12k right now.

It's not like a Camaro is a piece of crap or something. My previous car was a 02' SS Camaro (408ci LSX stroker w/200 hp wet shot) and would easily hand the majority of Vette owners their ***.

I feel bad for the middle eastern guy too. The corvette and camaro have a lot in common. Instead of making him feel alienated (probably more so than he already does), you could have said "Oh cool, an LS1?"
The corvette and the camaro shared the same motor and trans as well as a bunch of other parts I'd imagine. The only major differences are simply cosmetic.

Except for weight, body, and slight hp difference, they are basically the same car except one costs twice as much. Seems to be a lot of these "I have a Vette, therefore everyone else sucks" posts lately.

$12k, hahaha. Let me know where I can find an '04 for 12k and I will buy a truck load of them. Get a clue or start posting on the convience store forum instead of making ingnorant-a$$ comments on here.

This well meaning, decent post has turned bad. Unfortunately it happens, the OP had a funny take on life owning a Vette, he did no harm and young kiddo makes a funny. BFD I see nothing wrong with the OP post and thought it kinda funny as well. Don't kid yourselves there are plenty of Camaros out there that will take your lunchbox and smile while doing it. Also to the guy trying to car-up with his brother's Camaro I'm cool with that, probably a car guy in the making.
