Stopped at Publix on the way home...got a good spot up front with plenty of hash marked area around the spot...as i'm getting out of the Vette, there's a kid about 13 handing over a buggy to a Publix guy who's obviously of middle east decent...the kid says to me "Awesome ride Man....Good choice!!!!" then the Publix guy says, "what kind of car is that?"....i told him, "it's a Corvette"...and he says, "Oh, my brother has a Camaro"....i look at the kid and he looks at me...i maintain, but the kid can't and bursts out laughing and says to the Publix guy, "Not even close Dude!!!!!".....i had to high five the kid....it was just too funny!!!!

The publix dude just posted "Corvette owners are douche bags" on his convenience store forum.
I fail to see how it's out of line for him to comment that his brother has a Camaro when you say you have a Corvette, it's a GM performance car. Maybe where he's from it's a big deal.
It's not like he said oh, well my brother has a Camaro that'll beat you. Get over yourself, you have a car that sells for about 12k right now.

I dunno, I feel kinda sorry for the middle east guy. I think he was just trying to be a part of something that he thought was good. He was also trying to be proud, I think, for his brothers ride. Perhaps just like you quys with the Vette. Apparently he is somewhat new to U.S.A., I would have cut him some slack and said "thats really cool, great car too, I had 2 of them",(which is true). Common make the kid feel good not ashamed. Just my feeble opinion on this mild story.
