You can "tub" the rear wheel house. Tubs are usually used by drag racers to fit wider slicks with out modifying the body, but would solve your problem. There are kits available from forum vendors.
Are you sure that the tires are being worn down from rubbing? It sounds more like an alignment problem, possibility due to the extreme lowering of the car. I would have a good four wheel alignment done before doing anything.
Are you sure they are the original factory Z06 wheels and not aftermarket wheels with a different offset?
If they work on a Z06, they should work on your car.

....with proper alignment. I also agree that lowering a point where the tires are "tucked" is good for nothing but glassy-smooth roads or tracks.
the C5 should be lowered NO MORE then 1" from stock
Slammed vettes look cool, but handle like chit and as you found out rubb on the tires.
That is the biggest bunch of BS a have heard in a long time . I have slammed my ZO6 with PFADT coil overs with a ride height of 3.5 in. and it handles and rides 10 times better than stock.
The PFADT coil overs are fully adjustable fror compression and rebound as well as ride height adjustment. Smartest money i ever spent other than the intercooled Eaton blower which added aprox. 150 hp. to the rear wheels.
Have a great day driving the biggest bang for the buck in the good old USA.
You will also slam every driveway and parking lot entrance you encounter! Personally, I prefer LG coilovers - lower unsprung weight and teflon-lined spherical bearings to avoid squeeking, further down the road.

yellow lpe zo6
on smooth roads? how about those wonderful midwest roads right after the spring thaw? or the normal midwest city streets?
again the OP has stock suspension, not coil overs IIRC.
Coil overs can not be compared, they are that much better

Go for the raked look...higher in the rear, lower in the front. You can get away with more in the front, but the rear will give you trouble as you found out. I have 295x35x19s on the rear. They rub with the car off the ground, but once back on the pavement the camber takes over and moves them out. I have no rubbing at all. My rear end is ab out an inch higher than the front...the car handles perfectly. I am all the way down on stock bolts in the front and scrape a lot.
