well after 2 months of trying to find a new job with no luck and not being able to come up with the payments the bank repossessed my car and will auction it later this month. only way to get it back is to pay whats left on the loan in full, thats not gong to happen. i did manage to get up to date with the payments this week but seems like thats not going to get my car back. not trying to pity myself just venting i guess. it becomes a cycle of trying to get a car, but dont have a job to pay for it because now i dont have a car to get to work. plus my credit is now down the drain.
she will be missed and hopefully in the future i will be able to own another corvette. i knew it was my responsibility when i got the car that it would be hard working and gong to school but i thought i would be able to do it, i dont think i will ever be attached to another material object that i spent so many hours of enjoying, working on and caring for... its a hard lesson that i hope to learn from someday.
Hope it sells for at least what is still owed on it.
If it sells for less, you are still on the hook to make up the difference. Although if it sells for more, the bank keeps it all.
Found this out the hard way 12 years ago with my ex girlfriend's Sunbird Convertible... She didn't have a job at the time, so even though it was her car, my name was on the loan, and I had to pay the entire difference!
So, in addition to having her mess up my credit, I needed to come up with $4000 for a car that I never owned!
I learned an important lesson that day!
Sorry to hear about your misfortune! But hang in there, it's happened to more of us than you know!
Is there some way you could get another loan to buy it back before auction? Alot of places are beginning to hire for the holidays. Mebbe parents can co-sign or something..?
Good luck brother, there's got to be work within walking distance though.. get a job and save to buy another c5 cash- they're only coming down in price.. then you own it no matter what the job situation
Good luck with school and a job -it's not as easy as some people make it seem.. just stick out the school part!!
I agree, that sucks. Good luck with it all. Be prepared for the bank to break it off in you tho. They will auction it off for about half of what is owed.

Whatever happens, there will always be a vette for you. Times are tougher and we all need to be prepared. I feel your pain and I hope everything works out, because it has too. Buck up little camper, you'll be back in no time.
