Winter Project! Interior Swap in Progress!

Say Rich, now that I have that glove box lock cylinder removed (it's sitting in front of me on my desk here at work, as I type this) do you need it back to put in your own glove box? If so, just let me know and I'll send it to you, in return for the cylinder you have.
Oh, I did manage to sneak the Vette out for a short drive today... roads were pretty empty this morning, completely bare, clear skies, and 1.6° F out... I quickly threw the drivers seat back in, and went! first time I had her running in 3 weeks. Was only ten minutes, but she warmed up beforehand and I just ran up and down my street a bit. 3 weeks is enough time to forget what FAST feels like... WOW! I needed that.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
to an all oak or tan color like the pace car or commemorative editions. Maybe an all custom job with complete dash and door panel coverings. I really don't like all the multi-
color interiors and think the natural leather colors would be a touch of class for a change.

I mostly completed the conversion of the passenger seat, over to a sport seat with new two-tone leather. The new skins are 95% installed and I've placed the seat back into the car, primarily to get it out of the way but to also see how it's looking so far. So, right now I have this new passenger seat and a stock Z06 drivers seat.
I have some small issues with the new seat skins... not sure if they are due to some difference in the Z06 seat frame or just "pilot error" as they say. But in one of the pics you can see that, in the corner by the seat belt receiver, the skins don't pull up comepletely into the corner and a small amount of foam is visible. Not sure what to do about that; if I position the seat bottom skin any further aft, then it no longer covers the full front edge of the seat bottom foam. There must be something I'm missing, but have to figure that out yet. Otherwise, I LOVE these seat skins! Far, FAR superior to stock. I got them from DJ Motorsport Accessories (supporting vendor, run by DavzC5 and NTRBL33) and it is their free 8-piece kit that you see throughout the interior as well. (both boots, door handle wraps, center console lid, and the oh-$h*t handle wrap).
Any advice on Z06 seat frames vs. sport seat frames, or other words on how to clear up that gap, are appreciated!

Not much progress in the past week or two... took some time to head south to L.A. (and flew back with a Vararam in my suitcase, from England Green!) and chill out a bit.
Now, all I really had left on the interior was to convert the drivers seat over into the sport seat with the new leather skins.
This turned into a big clusterf***.
I went to remove the seat recline lever, which is needed to get the old skin off the seat. BUTTTT..... it won't come off. I look around for this stupid little clip that is supposed to hold it on... and it's not there. There was no clip! SO how is this handle staying attached? 30 minutes later I could not get it off. I figured the previous owner glued it on.
So I took a hacksaw and carefully cut the lever off at the base; then sliced off the top of the **** that was left. Sure enough... there's the end of the shaft, caked in glue.

I chisel all that glue and plastic away, and then I discover that the teeth on the spline shaft have been stripped, which is why the previous owner glued the handle on.
So basically, seat progress is halted until my new parts arrive from Fichtner Chevrolet (supporting vendor with a parts sale going on this month!). I'm getting a new recline lever, and a new recline cable assembly. Hopefully I can continue next week.
