Hey guys i am selling my current car a 06 dodge charger does great for me just no longer interested and i really want a c5 my only dillema is i am looking at year models between 97-00 and all with miles between 80k-100k being that i am trying to stay b/t 13 and 15k in price this vehicle will be my daily driver and i do a good bit of driving i just need anyones advice on wether this is a good idea or if i am being foolish to do something like this i really want a c5 but dont want to give up a very reliable car and end up in a money pit so please give any advice you may have
thanks: zach
You don't say how many miles you have on your Dodge but I guessing it's probably 40k or less and although C5's are very reliable vehicles, even those with 80-100k it just doesn't make sense to trade in a car thats your DD for a car that has twice as many miles and 6 to 9 years older. Since you have to rely on this car for your main transportation I'd wait to buy a Corvette until you can afford one with less miles or as a second car.
Thanks yall were a huge help just getting a few more opinions ultimatley after hearing yall i think i will hold off probably buy a reliable little beater we take in on trade or something at my dealership and probably have that as a dd and still look in that price range for a c5 to have in the garage and drive often just not every day i am just har headed and get set in my ways but hearing a few other people who are obviously probably pretty well informed helps
welll the thing is the years and mileage i mentioned above kbb for 10-12k private party in good condition and i know prices are negotiable i mean i am a car salesmen but it seems that everybody with theses years and mileage are asking around 15-17 many firm i am sure i will come across something soon though i am selling my car now planning on picking up a cash car from the auction in about a week and then getting a c5 soon after that but will be getting a loan through my bank for the c5
