Default Headlight problem

When I turn my lights off it sounds like the motor still runs for about 20 to 30 seconds. Also when I turn just the park lights on the headlights pop up. What's up with that crap? Anything major?

Thanks!

Your headlight motor gears are stripped. The stock gears are plastic. Most of us have replaced them with brass gears.

Run down to the headlight gears post at this link and you'll find out all you need to know

In that case, switch them over to HIDs while you're changing out your plastic gears for brass ones. Best lighting improvement you can make.

Did the problems start at the same time?? I have HID's and sometimes I get the headlights coming up when I just go to parking light, too.
Your question is one I've been wondering about since swapping to HID's.
I don't have any noticable problem with the gears, though.
No grinding or running long. Quite crisp in opening/closing.
I was just wondering if there's a correlation, as in; my motor/gear(s) are about to go out?

Good luck with the gear fix!! Can't miss with the help on this forum!
