Thanks to all for your welcoming comments. Had more fun today getting to know stuff on my "new" C5. Now for some responses:
Hey Cozmo -- I remember when you left the C4 fold -- I'm thinking you made the right choice!
Hey, I always did. And, I won't stop with the "big butt" jokes either. Can't help if it's a turn-on.
Which of course is why I finally broke down and bought one. Too bad my C4 is not yet the new C3 -- but I will sell it yet
More than once today. My wife caught me this afternoon as we were walking into the local burger joint 
No matter what the community, someone on this Forum is always ready to lend a noob a helping hand, usually just before someone else responds: "use the *&%^ search function." The gage fixed istself this morning which I hope means the sender unit(s) are still saveable -- I have 2 bottles of Techron and the first goes in as soon as the tank gets a bit closer to empty
Now and then -- but believe it or not our part of Chadds Ford is in Delaware County
Love those Z06's BTW -- but could not quite pull the trigger this time around

The rocking seat and fuel gauge issues are well known and easy to fix. For the fuel gauge try a few bottles of Techron in the tank. Its caused by sulfur build up on the sensor and that should clean it up

You should find a key fob for a reasonable price on E Bay. Alternatively use one of the Forum vendors here who'll give you a great discount.
