Plastic trim around ignition switch
The plastic ring around the ignition switch on my 02 is broke. It is the piece that say
Off alt etc
Does anyone know how this piece is on? Does it snap in or do I have to take the
Dash apart?

Mine broke too and it needed some rehab to fix it. You need to dismantle the console and radio bezel to get it out. Take it easily because the VATS connection is attached to the back.

Yeah well, mine was messed up to, got a new one but my dumbass completely spaced the VATS and thought the line was a secure strap type thing, and I cut it...
and a split second after, I realized what I had done and had to reqire it so I could start her up. Yeah that was the dumb a$$ move of the day...
