Default c6 wheels on c5

just picked up some painted c6 wheels tonight, came with emt's and tps, they are complete take offs....

I've read that 1/4 spacers are needed for the back, where can get those?

Also will the c6 tps sensors work with the c5?

Jegs and Summit for the spacers...

I don't think the TPS will work, but I may be wrong...

Peace

Some get lucky without running any spacers. If you need to run spacers, 5mm or 1/4 inch. I went with 1 inch wheel adapters instead. Read good things about them and the price was decent. I havent gotten the chance to install them yet. Its been too cold here in MD.

TPS from C6 will not work with C5's.

I used my tps's out of the c5 wheels, still figuring out the spacers HP Performance can get you what you need.

I'm using 1" spacers in the rear, and the tires come out flush to the body.

C6 wheels will fit most cars without using spacers. This is my 1999, with C6 wheels, and no spacers.

This is the rear wheel well with a C6 wheel and tire installed.

This is the same rear wheel well with a C5 wheel and tire installed.

If you want the rear wheels to stick out further you will need to use spacers or adapters.

This looks great! Previously I've not been a big fan of C6 wheels on a C5, but the look is growing on me.

Well i put on one of the rears, just to see if i needed a spacer, the wheel clears the inner fender, but barely, I can get the tips of my fingers between the fender and the tire, is that too close? Should I go ahead and order the 1/4 spacers?

I just bought a set of the C6 rims (Polished) five stars for my C5 from a C6 member. I am unsure if I will like it, but looking to give it a shot.

The red with the red rims (GOTPSI) looks sharp. How hard is it to keep the rims clean?

Too be on the safe side. Id order the spacers. You wouldnt notice the rubbing till you put load onto the suspension going over bumps.

You won't have a problem at all. you need to unjack the car and you will see what I mean...your camber will move it farther away from the plastic inner well once the tire hits the pavement. And get this....I am running 295x19s in the rear and they fit with no rubbing ever!

Best thing about these wheels is if you ever need a replacement, they are available and cheap. i am done with custom wheels forever.

It's also going to depend on your suspension. Stiffer suspension will allow for less travel and you are less likely to bump/rub. If you have soft suspension and/or have the car lowered then you may want the spacer. On my car, I would definitely need spacers since my raca alignment has a lot of negative camber. If you go more than 1/4" get adapters instead of spacers. Many things to consider. Since the spacers can be had on The Auction Site for $10, I would just play it safe.
