98 C5 Vette 37,000 miles. The power seats when you brake slip forward about 1/2 to 3/4". When you accelerate seat shift back the same. Is there any way to fix this , or can I replace something that is worn. If you have a solution it would be greatly appreciated. GOLFDUDE

Do a search there is a fix although not the easiest thing to do.
We call them rocking seats, and there are several DIY threads on how to fix. The basic problems is spacers in the rail assembly that break down leaving room for play in them - you can machine replacements from washers to eliminate the play, or replace the rails (about $400/set)
I had this very problem. My upholstry guy said it would cost $600 to replace the seat mechanism.
I printed out the repair guide I found here and took it to my upholstry guy. He made the reapir for $75. I'm not so confident that I would have ever attempted this reapir.

Somewhat common problem on the C5. I've got a few Word files that discusses how to fix the rocking. If you'd like a copy, just PM me your e-mail address.
