Default Am I Being Unreasonable?

Now I love my wife dearly and we've been married for well over 30 years but there's a serious issue brewing and it may result in divorce.

We bought a new car just before Christmas and being a true blooded Englishman (well apart from owning a Corvette that is), I ordered a new Jaguar. Now I don't wan't anyone pointing out that Ford sold Jaguar off to the highest bidder who just happened to be Tata of India. Its still hand crafted in England by true craftsmen loyal to Her Majesty.

Despite all that .......................

Now I say, the Corvette naturally takes pride of place in the warm garage hooked up to its lifeline (the battery tender).

My wife says the Jaguar is newer so the Vette should be evicted.

How can anyone be so heartless as to think of putting the love of my life (the Vette not the wife - Did I say that out loud?) out in the cold blizzards of rural England? Its just unthinkable

What should I do?

"Confused of Great Britain"

PS. The downside of all this is I now spend every weekend outside in the freezing westerly gales washing the Jaguar. The Vette never gets a look in

This is all tongue in cheek by the way. If I divorced my wife she'd steal the Corvette

Dave I do not feel your pain, when I purchased our 07 Silverado it did not get a place in the garage along side my 99 and the wife did not like that, so to make her happy I bought her an 09 that I drive daily and I did make room in the garage for her new baby

I don't have a TX sized garage Steve

What can I do? I already have a fleet of cars on the driveway

Oh and BTW, with the $/£ exchange rate I'd need a mortgage for an 09

Now you approach the wife about the desperate need to build a new garage to protect your cars from the cruel English clime.
I'm thinking 'Man Cave' for the 'vette' here, Jag takes the hind-most.

I to just went through the same issue. I just bought her a 09 BENZ. Now she wants the garage. Now last year what I was doing is putting her car in the garage in winter time and I used it the other 9 months. But this year I said no way. As a matter a fact I always remind her that prior to buying my home when I was working 80hrs a week she was the one looking for the home I told her 2 car garage and she picked the one with 1.Bottom line vette stays inside and the alpha male wins.STAND YOUR GROUND MAN

I see a garage expansion in your future, Dave.....it's the only reasonable conclusion to this conundrum. I'm fortunate to have a 3 car garage, the Vette, the Cadillac and my old 87 blacksedan Pontiac rest comfortably in the garage. In the meantime - a weekly wash and a monthly detail should keep the divorce attorney at bay.......for a while!

Dave make a deal with her and take her to the track. The car that wins stays inside the garage. Simple

That's why I don't store my Vette at home during the winter. We get both daily drivers in the garage and I don't have to worry about cleaning snow off of one of them. I'm thinking that if you buy your wife something that "glitters", she may forget about the Vette.
