Diamond reverse lights
Does anyone have diamond reverse lights on their car? How does it look compared to stock? Where's the cheapest place to purchase them? Would love to see some pics...

I have them and they are great! they look so nice and really add a modern touch to the car, especially when you get an LED light in there. I got tires recently and the guy thought my car was brand new, he specifically said the reverse lights made it look that way.
I'll see if I can find some pictures. the stock lights look so 80's compared to the crystal clear diamond cut ones. the diamond cut also reflects more light out behind yoru car for 2 reasons, the stock housing's reflector is silver colored, the diamod cut housings have a mirror finish, which reflects more as the silver absorbs some of the light. the stock housing's interior texture reflects some light back into the housing, and scatters some of it also. the diamond housings have crystal clear lenses on them which allow all the light out.
get it! you won't be dissapointed.

finish the look off with Halo LEDs, diamond cut side markers and clear forward signal lenses!

comparison of standard bulb Vs. LED in the stock housing
especially with LEDs the stock housing eats up so much of the light. there are even brighter LED alternatives for the backup lenses available now to make it even brighter.
here's what they look like at night.
the pic is foggy because of the inhuman heat and humidity in Suckapeake, but these lights are bright!
its kind of neat with the halo LEDs also that in reverse with the brakes on it casts a purplish light as the slightly bluish backup lights mix with the intense red of the halos.

Thanks for the pics and info MC ... that was exactly what I was looking for. I'm definitely going to do this mod, I agree in that it adds a nice touch to the rear of the car. Where did you get the LEDs, how much?
I'm thinking I might just stick with stock bulbs for now...
