That was my plan, if it ever gets warm again I'll frog and rattle then post some pics. If it tuns out crappy I can always get the covers.

I agree! I noticed the edging, did you glue them down or is the edging holding them down?

I did the same thing as matt3310. I even made a few sets for some forum members. It is really quite simple. I bought my plexiglass from HD. It was I think a 3x3 piece 1/8 inch thick. You don't want it to thick so it will be a little flexible. I used a piece of large construction paper to cut out my template and then trace on to plexiglass. I then used a rotozip to cut a rough cover out and then a bench sander to sand down to the final fender cover. I then got matching paint from my local Chevy dealer and painted the back side. I had use of a bead blaster to do rough up the back side but you can use scotch brite to do the same thing. You was to get something for the paint to adhere to. I then put high temp paint as my last coat just for good measure. I then went to Advanced Auto and got door edging and ran around the outside of the cover. It is good to get this edging warm before you start- it helps it to bend better. To fasten to the inner fender well just used industrial strength velcro at various points as not to cover any factory stickers in case I want to take off later. That is about it. Here is a pic of mine.
