Plus, any type of HID setup in stock reflective housing is not DOT compliant as the beam can be too bright for oncoming traffic. FYI in case you don't know why the LEO is pulling you over...
^^I did my research before buying and looked into this aspect. I bought my kit from one of the vendors on the forum. I went with the 4300 kit because I was interested in getting the most light. I bought the HIDs for safety not bling.
FWIW, I was probably one of the first people to have the ACA HID lights, which is a true HID kit. Sold them though.

So you went from the ACA to just a regular HID bulb in the stock housing? Just curious (not saying you're wrong) why? Was there something wrong with the kit?

Me too. That's the direction I would eventually like to go. True HID that maintains the pop ups.
