Got a ticket

I did have it displayed but he wouldn't have been able to see it was on (due to the location I had it displayed) I got used to being in the vette (tinted 20% all around). In the future I won't use it in VI the 100 dollars won't break me but I would prefer to choose who I give my money to.

That day they had some sort of program going on because I had been seeing troopers all over the place all the way from OKC, 20 or more. At the toll booth if you have Pikepass you go straight through, if you pay the toll you stay right. Just before the booth there were a couple cops in the middle, I figured they were waiting for someone to blow through the pikepass. Paid my toll, which took several minutes. Soon as I was through here's Officer Friendly with the lights.
He claimed I didn't use a turn signal to head to the toll booth - I may not have, I can't recall but it's almost like the right lane leads there, but I'll give him the benefit of doubt. He also said my right taillight was dim. It was fine but I wasn't going to argue. He checked everything out, gave me a warning notice (no violation) on the taillight and let me go.
I'm really not too put out about it. New York plates probably do catch their eye. He determined I was coming from a job and wasn't a drug smuggler, he wrote a warning which adds to his total and shows he's doing his job. No ticket for the turn signal, and he was polite to me, not a hardass. Other than slowing down my trip by about 10 minutes, it was no problem. Considering there are a few occasional AH's out there, I'm glad I didn't catch one of them instead.
So - when you get to the toll booth - use your turn signal!

It's a very legitimate gripe, IMHO.
