I think you could pop out that piece and paint it, then reinstall it....haven't seen anyone offer what you asked about.

Yes but there are 2 gold symbols on that side, I think it would look like crap if I did that and it would cover them.

Do they sell the symbols maybe I could paint it and then put the symbol stickers on there

Do you mean like this?

I have the Union Flag on mine (being a Brit). I guess Pipedreams who is a Forum Vendor and made up these decals could fix you up. I think its about $50 for the first run

You could mask the symbols; like the pro painters do...don't brush paint on though, spray it lightly with several coats...piece of cake!

yes EXACTLY that part, I want it made mag red II instead of the torch red color it comes like stock on all c5s.

Theres no way you could paint it by masking the symbols there now

Get a high quality decal in the design/color of your choice and remove the factory stick-on emblem. Of course you could also have it painted directly on your car by an artist and then clear coated.

The easiest way would be to do it how that other guy did with the Brit flag...

Talk to a sign/sticker shop and have them make you a sticker exactly how you want it and just put it over...

Then you don't have to worry about paint at all...

Dave's Union Jack is not a sticker. It is an actual 3 dimensional molded urethane piece that gets installed after removing the original.
There are rounded-off edges all the around that emblem and a sticker will not lay flat on it. It will pucker or wrinkle around the edges and look like crap.

It's called the "pillow" effect, FYI.

Give Alex a call at Cyberdine Graphics. He can do exactly what you are looking for and from personal dealings I can tell you he is a good guy with excellent product. There is a sticky threat at the top of this forum describing his work and a way to get in touch with him.
