Thanks, I can store nine vehicles. I'm really happy that I purchased the oversized lift for the middle position. Allows me to extend over 7 feet high and and additional 3+ feet in length. All the lifts are BackYard Buddy. By far the safest design. Visited the factory and that sealed my decision.

They are nice lifts, the safest says who..... Them and them alone no third party testing. I have not purchased a lift yet, but their sales video really turned me againist them.
Any lift can fail given the right circumstances. One could argue that BYB puts it's load on the "side" of the tube thus possibly causing an unstable lift, where as the channel type design puts the load in the center.
just my $0.02 worth
Regardless of lifts once again that's one hell of a set-up...

Take a trip to the various manufacturing facilities and touch and feel the various lift designs. Check out the thickness of the materials used as well as the designs. Load them with a vehicle and ask that they apply various side forces both from outside and inside the lifts. You can also put some padding on and body block the lifts from the inside and outside. All this with a vehicle six feet above. I will be interested to read your findings. I didn't find the BYB lift to be the least bit unstable. I hope my findings are correct long term. A very convenient way to check the various lifts out is at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. One can really see the differences between lifts when they are only several hundred yards walking distance apart. I really do recommend an overheight lift, regardless of the make/company. It makes working on any car or truck a very comfortable experience. The hydraulic jacking plate is a great accessory as well, albeit expensive. BTW, I have seen several pictures of Channel design lift failures (not pretty). Has anyone seen pictures of a BackYard Buddy crashing down? I want to be prepared....
Excellent job. If you don't mind a suggestion and want greater clearance to the garage door/opener see if you can get what was described to me as "36 in radius commercial" garage door tracks at the top of your door.
I had that installation done in my 10'6" ceiling garage and the opener mounts practically flush against the ceiling and when the garage door opens it is just 2-3" from the ceiling plus the side tracks don't hang down on braces in the way.
I too recommend you consider the bolts at the corner posts bottoms. While not likely almost 2 tons in the air up 5-6 ft is a lot of leverage if a corner post gets bumped accidentally when moving the lower car in place. You only get one chance to twist the top like a pretzel and live to tell about it....

Looks great
Thanks

Mike,
Thanks. Ceiling height is 12" 4" and my Garage systems are commercial motors and springs. The door lifts within 3 inches of the ceiling. So far, so good. How would the corner post come free from the ramps of the lift, with a sleeve design such as this?
[QUOTE=hotwheels57;1570980183]Nice...but do you have a phone in there? The second home shop we built had a full bathroom including a shower. It wasn't as clean as yours though. I used the shower only twice. I do wish I had planned for at least a urinal in my current shop. Pee'ing in the bushes is easier than going through the house...
Phones, sure two of them. None in the bathroom though...lol. The upstairs level is almost 1000 sqft of living and office space with a nice bathroom including shower. Wet Bar / Kitchen with built in Refrigerator, Flat Top Stove, Microwave. 53 inch Pioneer Elite Flat Screen with 7.1 Jamo Theater. No need to run to the house, peaceful in the garage....as we all know. Only thing left is a large ( I hope 60 inch) LCD or Plasma in the lower garage. Already pre-wired, just searching for the "right deal", used would be great.
