Thanks everyone for the well wishes. My daughter has her daddy and initially the events of the accident were hard on her. I'd hate to know what a loss would have done to her. And yes the goal is to get well and eventually return to the Vette club.

Sorry for your bad luck, I know it could have been worse, but still, that's a lot
to deal with. Hope you are much better soon. There's a lesson in this for everyone
who will take the time to read it! Good Luck!

Man, Thats a bad deal. Glad you walked away from it. I totaled my 95 back in 98 and walked away as well. It took me 7 years to get another Vette so don't follow my lead!

I am also glad to see that the forum members really are compassionate!

The vet got totalled and sounds like you nearly got totalled yourself. Miss by an inch is as good as a mile...but it sure puts the worry factor in front of things. What happened to you can happen to anyone and we're not kidding ourselves thinking it won't ever happen to us...as you found out, it certainly can. Really feel badly for you and know you are going through a lot of pain from this with a long recovery but as you stated, that little girl of yours is more important and you are still there with her. All the best wishes for you.

Glad you are on the mend...

So, in summary... hit black ice, low speed, and T-boned a telephone pole. YIKES......scary to think about it and how quick it can happen

Thanks, Vette is gone. Tried to buy it and sell it to someone who could part it out, but so much damage, barely a panel survived. Was not worth it.

When you see the pics shortly you'll see that a few more inches back and I am pretty sure my hips would have shattered and my head/neck would have been in more trouble.
