WOW! You are lucky to still be around. They make more Vettes, they don't make more of you. Good luck with the recovery and hug you wife and kids at every opportunity!
I had one experience on black ice myself. I'll never forget it. I just got lucky that I had a longer distance to scrub off some speed as I was doing 70mph at the time.
I banged up the Jeep pretty good cosmetically, but it was still drive able.
Glad you are OK. Looks and sounds nasty. Sorry about what you are going thru but you have a great attitude and that means you will be successful in recovering and getting another vette. Good luck, it will just take some time but hang in there.
Man, scary to look at those pics, could have definitely been way worse. I can't believe what happened to that seat, and you were in it, nuts! Get well!
Wow! I flipped and totaled mine beginning of January going 35mph!...broke a couple ribs and had a concussion and bulging disk. I just got my "replacement" Vette and all is well Sorry to hear about your loss, but you are alive and you'll heal soon enough to get another Vette.

Wow, how did it flip at 35? I saw a big BMW flip at at 35 years ago. Glad you are ok too.
thanks for the hydro-formed frame rail...
that's a scary looking wreck..
I think the frame being as strong as it is, saved my life. Not sure if same hit in my Infiniti would have been so good. Probably the scariest experience of my life. I hate the closed MRI machine so much that I had to be under anaesthesia for many hours just to go over my entire body. I still have not slept much due to pain since the accident. In time I will be fine though.
Glad to be alive, but this is the first time in 22 years without a Corvette, gonna bother me come July!
