I want to mount a video camera on the front of my car
anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? or what camera to use?
I know I can by as mount for inside the car, but I think it would be cool to mount one on the outside of the car. It would have to be secure enough to run down the drag strip or the road course
I've thought about doing the same. I've seen a few fits which take a camera mounted on a tripod between the seats.
Mounting outside would be a problem as I'm not sure how you'd keep the lens clean or operate the camera, although the remote may be OK at that distance.
My problem is that I drive on the other side of the road. I want a remote lens on the passenger side of the car to feed up onto the screen on the DVD player. That way I can take a quick peek to check the road is clear before pulling out to overtake. I plan to use the reversing camera function to do it. Just need to decide where to fit the camera. I suspect I'll need to fit it on the coaming.
I just got one. it is about half the size of a pack of cigarettes, and comes with every conceivable mounting system you would need. it is really cool, and works as well as they show. My friend is begging to take it on a jet ski (some kind of record holder-near 90mph!!!).
If you get it, you won't regret it. And Kentucky (the link I showed you) has the best price by far of the half dozen or so i checked. Nice folks.
