Mustangs are not in the equation, even the ones that are dressed up
and have the V8. The Mustang is a nice commuter car, styled ok and
has"some" power. Not news here, buts it's not a sports car. The Vette
is not it's competition,therefore,say nothing

You are obviously referring to very imature people, not car people. If you let it bother you or react by street racing you put yourself in the same league.

If these Mustangs are nothing to worry about and not in same league....then why do some of you have plates that insinuate you will beat, kill,or eat them? ......Sounds like some of you are a little worried to me. I have owned a 67 Mustang Vert and would buy another. I think some of you need a....

Chick Car
The mustang is a chick car, while driving around look and 80% of mustang's are driven by women. What I tell the guys at work is I see you drove the mustang today where is your dress. It's all good natured fun and we are all friends.

Personally, I like the looks of the Mustang. Like the sound of the V8 GT that Ford puts in them as well. If I wanted a 2 door coupe/vert with a small back seat I would have a look at them.
I always give a thumbs up or wave to Mustangs..or any car that looks like it's taken care of. Usually get one back from the person driving it when I do.
I was at a gas station for a fill-up and 3 "stangs" pulled in. Was odd at first (stare, etc..) but I walked over and started talking to one of them.. we got to BS'n about the cars - their little "club" etc.. Wound up spending about 20 minutes just chatting. Once you get past the "my Ford is better then your chevy" (or whatever) attitude.. it's rather just like talking to any other car person...
The "barbs" back and forth are (should be) all in fun.

Due to having kids, I had a GT, Cobra, & Mach 1 before I was able to get the vette. I spent alot of time on the Mustang forums, and talking to guys who own them. I don't want to speak for all of them, but alot of owners ambition was to get their car fast enough to beat guys in Corvettes. They would post on the forum about times they beat someone in a Corvette. I think it made them feel as if their car was superior. I don't care how fast you make a Mustang, it'll never be a vette.

I had an '01 Mustang GT with a lot of work done to it by the previous owner and I loved the car. I bought it because I couldn't afford a Vette yet and I still had to have a V8, rear wheel drive and manual trans. That said I still enjoy a little smack talking, it's just good natured fun for the most part, but imho there are a few dip sticks that just want to stroke their ego and it feels good when you can shut them up.
"Did you know that 90% of ALL Fords ever made are still on the road today?..... Yeah that's true, the other 10% actually made it home."
My favorite for ricers has always been:
"You do realize that my lug nuts require more torque than your engine makes right?"

Mustangs GT's V8 sounds nice. I just hate Ford's interior, and I couldn't resist the vette attraction.
I don't think any trash talking is necessary. You could build a 89 civic to be as fast as a rocket, it's not a vette. On the same token, you can make your vette faster than all the Ferrari's, it's STILL a chevy...
Car lovers are car lovers, no need to hate.
