I use mine so much of the time. An excellent mod.
One of the members (c5vetteguy) designed a switch panel for the ashtray area. I had one go but wasnt happy with my backing which was too flexible. I plan to have another go and replace my existing one with a full size panel covered in leather that fills the whole ashtray area.

I remove my seat almost 3-4 times over the summer for track days, my concern is removing them once I install the heater wiring. The power seat has a disconnect but what the heater wiring?

So anyone who has added the heated seats, can you still remove your seats easily or once they are wired in are you stuck leaving your seats in?

PM sent, but yes, a simple male/female plug will now be under your seat for easy removal.

The guy on ebay where you buy those will sell you one for $15.00. I asked about it because I was going to do one at a time but wanted both switches right away for placement. I did both at the same time and didn't need it. You can buy the switch though.

Thanks everybody. I did do a search within the forum, but couldn't find anything. So I posted. Then I googled to find more info and 2 links directed me back to this forum?!?!?
I was wondering about the different heaters - some are copper some carbon fiber, some have 2 setting, others 3, others have slides.
Which ones heat the fastest - or does it really matter -they are all about the same? Reliability - do some break down sooner etc.?

Appreciate all the info so quick -what a forum heh!

I can only comment on mine. The good thing is the element is a matrix so you can trim to shape without killing the circuit. Not sure what the conducting material is.

They heat up quickly and the hot setting is normally way too hot. I find I turn it on the max setting till it gets toasty and then back off to low. If the roof is down it stays on low but when the roofs up I dont need them on for many minutes.
