I added some the other day and what a difference.I switched form shell gas to exxon and dumped some techron in.The car just feels better across the board. The but dyno says it picked up something.I had real bad spark knock on the dyno. From what others are saying its the shell gas.You would think that shell would be some of the best gas you could get.Gonna stick with exxon & BP.
what exactly was the product to put in the fuel system? I remember I put it in very long ago, but can't remember what it was called.
What it just called Techron fuel system cleaner? I don't remeber ever seeing "concentrate" in the name. Is it #1 or #2?
#1
#2
#2 is the stuff you want to use..........get the bottle that is good for 20 gallons, not the smaller one for 12 gallons.............or use two of the smaller bottles.
Chevron used to sell Techron (under various names) to other oil companies for their gas...don't know if they still do but I think that Techron is the Standard bearer for real cleaning agents...
Bill
I believe that Chevron gas has Techron already added...and it is a top tier gas. Unless you have the float problem, why add it ???
I only had the float problem from Husky gasoline....every other name brand I've run....has been fine....which would be ESSO and SHELL for the most part
